2025 GMC Sierra 2500
The 2025 GMC Sierra 2500 packs serious muscle while giving you premium comfort and smart tech features. Whether you're tackling job sites or hauling your boat for weekend getaways, this truck can handle whatever you throw at it.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2025 GMC Sierra 2500 is available in seven trims: the Pro, SLE, SLT, AT4, AT4X, Denali, and Denali Ultimate. The Pro and SLE models feature LED projector headlamps, black vertical recovery hooks, and a CornerStep rear bumper for easier bed access.
Additions to the SLT include power vertical trailering mirrors and a MultiPro tailgate with EZ Lift assist. The AT4 and AT4X include Smoked Amber LED roof marker lamps, with the AT4X offering additional off-road styling. The Denali and Denali Ultimate add power-retractable assist steps with perimeter LED lighting. Six paint colors are available, including Titanium Rush Metallic and Volcanic Red Tintcoat.
Engine (Power)
The standard 6.6-liter V-8 gas engine delivers 401 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and 464 pound-feet of torque at 4,000 rpm, handling daily work and heavy loads confidently. A more potent 6.6-liter Duramax Turbo-Diesel V-8 with 470 horsepower at 2,800 rpm and 975 pound-feet of torque at 1,600 rpm is optional, providing exceptional pulling strength for steep grades with full loads. All models include an Allison 10-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
When properly equipped, the Regular Cab setup can pull up to 22,390 pounds with gooseneck or fifth-wheel trailers. The roomier Crew Cab with the Duramax diesel delivers an impressive 20,000-pound conventional towing capacity.
The Sierra 2500 handles payloads of up to 3,979 pounds in Regular Cab form. All models have 10.2 inches of ground clearance for rough terrain. The diesel AT4X accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 6.6 seconds — remarkable for a truck this size.
Interior
There are three cab options: the Regular Cab (SLE only) sits three passengers, while the Double Cab (SLE only) and Crew Cab (all trims) sit six. The Crew Cab provides 43.03 inches of front headroom and 44.53 inches of legroom, while rear passengers enjoy 40.12 inches of headroom and 43.4 inches of legroom.
The Denali and Denali Ultimate trims feature 16-way power-adjustable front seats with massage functionality, a 13.4-inch GMC premium infotainment system with Google built-in, and a 12-speaker Bose sound system. You'll also enjoy a 12.3-inch color driver information center and an optional 15-inch head-up display for windshield information projection.
Safety Features
Every 2025 Sierra 2500 comes standard with the Sierra HD Pro Safety suite. This incorporates forward collision alert, following distance indicator, front pedestrian braking, IntelliBeam headlights, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking.
Additional technologies on the SLT, AT4, Denali, and Denali Ultimate include the ProGrade trailering system with hitch guidance and a handy in-vehicle trailering app with up to 15 available camera views, making hooking up and managing trailers seamless. The Pro Safety Plus package adds front and rear park assist to all models, and adaptive cruise control is standard on the AT4, Denali, and Denali Ultimate.
