The 2025 Buick Encore GX comes in Preferred, Sport Touring, and Avenir trim levels, each highlighting the brand's signature checkmark-style LED headlights. Bright silver-painted 18-inch aluminum wheels are standard on the Preferred, while 18-inch gloss black alloys and a trim-exclusive high-gloss black grille enhance the Sport Touring's athletic look. Distinguishing features on the range-topping Avenir include a Black Ice grille, 19-inch Pearl Nickel aluminum wheels, and clear-lens LED taillights. A hands-free power liftgate is available on this model.

The Encore GX Preferred comes with an ECOTEC 1.2-liter Turbo engine, delivering 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque paired with a continuously variable transmission. Sport Touring and Avenir trim levels feature a 1.3-liter turbo with 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque mated to a nine-speed automatic, which manages highway merges and hills with confidence. All models are available with front-wheel or all-wheel drive.

The Encore GX's tight turning radius makes parking a cinch, even in cramped garages. AWD models have a Drive Mode Selector offering Normal, Sport, and Snow/Ice settings. Sport mode tightens steering and throttle response, while Snow/Ice helps when things get slippery. When properly equipped, the Encore GX can manage light towing. The fully tuned independent suspension ensures a smooth ride and optimum handling, making daily drives and weekend getaways pleasurable.

An 11-inch high-definition color touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility and device charging is standard on all models. The cabin seats five people, with practical 40/60-split folding rear seats and an available flat-folding front passenger seat for flexible cargo arrangements. It has 50.2 cubic feet of space with the rear seats lowered, offering plenty of room for bulky items, groceries, and luggage. The Preferred has cloth seats, the Sport Touring upgrades to leatherette, and The Avenir offers perforated leather-appointed seat trim. An eight-way power driver seat, heated driver and front passenger seats, and a heated steering wheel are included in the top-tier trim and optional on the other two. A seven-speaker Bose audio system is available on the Sport Touring and Avenir, and the latter has dual-zone automatic climate control.

Every Encore GX includes Buick Driver Confidence, a suite of six safety and driver-assist technologies: forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist with lane departure warning, following distance indicator, and IntelliBeam auto high beams. Rear cross-traffic alert, lane change alert with side blind zone alert, and Teen Driver technology are also standard, providing greater peace of mind.
